Rabies
Alert
In Texas, we have major rabies outbreaks in wild and domestic
animals each year. There are some states, areas and regions
within the United States that have few or no animal cases and no
human exposures annually. Rabies problems vary greatly from
one local to another. Unfortunately, this fact can cause
problems for those who are unwary or newcomers to
Texas. Here, we always face significant danger from
this disease.
Do Not handle unknown
animals of any kind, dogs, cats or any wild animals, no matter
how cute they may be. It only takes one (1) bite to give you
RABIES! The Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is an excellent source for
information on the disease of Rabies. Please click the image
