Ferrets:

Loving and cuddly describe ferrets when they are at
home, and at the clinic, speedy is a good word because if we are
not, we won't catch them for any treatment we have to do.
Twisting, turning and invisible are also descriptive, since you
never know just where you will find them next. At your home,
that could mean in your clothes washer when you are about to close
the door, or maybe in the drawer with your husband's best shirt or
your favorite blouse. At the veterinarian's, a ferret may be
in your hand one moment and on the doctor's shoulder the next,
because every ferret knows you can see much better from up there.
Their care is based on the prevention of health
problems and disease. Clean surroundings and tender love and
care are what all ferrets need. Semi-annual physical examinations and diagnostic tests at times, proper vaccinations, castration for male and ovariohysterectomies (spay) for female
non-breeding pets, and proper nutrition (good ferret food-ZuPreem
or Marshall's) have extended their lives, and now makes it possible
for us to enjoy ferrets as family members for many years!
They are good pets, but you must learn about them
before bringing one into your family. They are friendly,
house trainable, and will definitely add a whole new dimension to
your home.
